Yesterday, I spent the day in Charleston, South Carolina with one of my best friends, Sami. While we were there, we paid a visit to a little brunch spot called “Toast” that I heard great things about. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed one bit.

The Decor in the place was adorable. It screams “southern charm”. The whole time I was there, I felt like I was at a little tea party. Plus, all the windows made for a lot of natural light and I am definitely a sucker for some good natural lighting.

Another major pro to Toast is the food. Everyone who knows me knows I have a weakness for breakfast food and this restaurant does not lack for amazing breakfast food. And it’s served all day which could possibly be the best part. They serve the biggest homemade buttermilk biscuits I’ve ever seen and their Deluxe French Toast was recommended by the New York Times.

Finally, the drinks. There was a bar inside for anyone who is in the mood for an alcoholic drink, but Sami and I stuck with good old fashioned tea. When they first brought us our drinks, they also brought with them a chest of 5 or 6 different types of tea we could choose from, a small tea pot filled with hot water, and a small espresso cup filled with milk. This plus the fact that the tea was incredible is the reason the drinks were one of the best parts.

The only downside to Toast! was the pricing. Being a college student, the items on the menu were a little pricey for me, but it was so good, I’m definitely willing to overlook that and go back again!

Let me know some of your favorite brunch spots so I can go check them out!
